Hey, just letting you all know that if you've got concrit for me, I've got a full-time concrit post on my OOC journal: [livejournal.com profile] code_gal

Hello, Ink City! (And possibly future other games reading this.) Here's the deal: Chandra is a red-aligned planeswalker. In layman's terms (at least for the part relevant to you), this means that she draws mana from the land and uses it to cast spells. Specifically, red spells, which tend to be spells of chaos, destruction, emotion, and impulse. Among these are fire spells, Chandra's specialty.

Now, upon arriving to Ink City, Chandra has lost all of her mana bonds, and has none upon which to draw. This is where you come in; if you have a location brought into the city, Chandra might try to draw mana from it. Don't be alarmed! This process does not hurt the land or the people on the land at all. Heck, if you don't catch her doing it, you won't even notice at all.

In addition to looking for specifically red sources of mana (more on the colors in a second), she'll be able to tell what sort of mana your location would produce. This would cause her to avoid certain places that might seem unpleasant to her, and be drawn towards places that could help her out. As such, I need your help determining what color of mana your home would produce. Just fill out this simple form:

Location Name: What is the name of your location?
Location: Where is your location located? Lot numbers are fine for in the city, and for out of the city, give me a general direction.
Physical Description: A physical description of the location.
Metaphysical Description: What sort of things happen in this location, both in canon and in the game? What sort of people (or other being types) use the location? What are their means and motives for being? This is the important part.
Guess: Based on my introduction (and any knowledge you might have of Magic: the Gathering), guess what color (or colors) of magic your location might produce. This section is optional.

A quick rundown of the colors:
  • White:
White is the color of order, law, and justice. White likes to work together for the greater good. Note that White is not necessarily good, but it is hierarchical. Its basic land type is Plains. Its allies are Blue and Green. Its enemies are Black and Red.

  • Blue:
Blue is the color of artifice, logic, and knowledge. Blue is all about its desire for knowledge above all other things. Blue wants to gain knowledge and shape its own world, believing that life is a blank slate. Its basic land type is Island. Its allies are White and Black. Its enemies are Red and Green.

  • Black:
Black is the color of ambition, greed, and decay. Black is after power at all costs. Black is about putting the needs of the self over the needs of others. Note that Black is not necessarily evil, but it is self-centered. Its basic land type is Swamp. Its allies are Blue and Red. Its enemies are White and Green.

  • Red:
Red is the color of chaos, emotion, and impulse. Red does what it wants; screw you if you get in its way. But leave Red alone and you're probably fine - unless you're hurting other people's individual freedoms, in which case Red might take issue with you on principle. Its basic land type is Mountain. Its allies are Black and Green. Its enemies are White and Blue.

  • Green:
Green is the color of nature, instinct, and community. Green is about letting nature run its course, both with people and with the land. Green believes that everyone has their fate and is subject to it, regardless. Green also tries to interfere with the land as little as possible. Its basic land type is Forest. Its allies are White and Red. Its enemies are Blue and Black.

If you have any questions on this system, feel free to ask! And if you'd like me to assign your character one or more colors of magic, I'll be happy to do that as well. ^^

[A. Action, 1124 Taylor Road.]

[Good morning, 1124 Taylor Road. You may notice something different this morning. Notably, one pissed off red-head as your new not!mom. At first she'll be sleeping, as expected, in the bed with Thor. Later, she'll be stalking angrily around the house, looking for her stuff. Approach if you dare.]

[B. Action, around the town.]

[For most of that day, Chandra can be found wandering the town, trying to find either a. a way out, or b. a source of red mana. Unfortunately for her, she's not going to find either of these things. She is, at least, bundled up in several layers of 1950s coats.]

[C. The Park, evening.]

[Well, she's managed to not find anything she was looking for, period, so now she's trying to pull the same trick she did back when dealing with Prince Velrav - fire magic without red mana. So you can probably find her in the park, trying to focus, and generally being really pissed off.]

This journal was recently accepted into Mayfield. If you still have this journal on your friends list from Luceti, I recommend removing it now. Thank you, that is all.

Someone had better tell me what the hell is going on here right now.

[Her voice is slightly muffled, as though she hasn’t found the journal yet, and it’s still closed. She is, in fact, just shouting to the open air.]

You know what? It doesn’t matter. As soon as I change back into my own clothes -seriously? What the hell? - I’m out of here. Smart move, trying to cage a planeswalker. [She snorts at that, amused at her captor’s apparent stupidity. This is followed by some rustling that is presumably the sound of her doing just that – changing clothes. Then a pause. When she speaks again, she’s shouting extremely loud – fortunately for anyone listening to the journals, it’s muffled by other pages and the ground somewhat.]

Why the hell can’t I planeswalk out of here?

[There's a loud noise like air rushing past the journal's pages, and then a thud as it bounces off a tree. It would seem Chandra has kicked it out of pure spite. However, the sound is a lot clearer now - through pure chance, it landed face-up and open. Now she's speaking more to herself, quietly.]

... what the hell kind of book is this? [Rustling paper as she flips through a few pages.]

... huh. So other people can hear me right now? Are the rest of you trapped here, too?

[A pause, and then her voice is forceful again. Yelling at people worked, usually.]

Fine; if you can hear me, tell me what's going on here right now. Hell, where am I?
